In the news for physical activity and cancer risk

We issued a press release today about how 10,000 breast and bowel cancer cases could be prevented through regular physical activity.

The story has had some great coverage, with eight national newspapers printing articles about it, including the Daily Express and the Daily Telegraph.

It was also a story on Sky News this morning, which included a snippet of an interview they did with me yesterday.

Hopefully, all this coverage will help raise awareness that regular physical activity reduces risk of cancer.

We hope it will also help promote our Walking Together campaign, where people organise walks for their family and friends.

As well as raising money for World Cancer Research Fund, this campaign is promoting the importance of physical activity for cancer prevention and reminding people how enjoyable walking can be.

We hope it helps encourage people to get into the kind of habits that can reduce their cancer risk.
